Curation 101

On our platform, anyone can create a Blind Box collection and invite individuals or brands to add their NFTs to it. Instead of having a top down approach to curation, ours is decentralized. Instead of a centralized committee creating collections, our are primarily user generated. Instead of selling NFTs one by one, we use a gamified Gashapon-inspired mechanism.

In the ethos of free markets and autonomy, on our platform curators always set their commission rate (typically 10 -30%).

Tips:

1. Always choose a theme for your collection (i.e Polygon Punks, New York Street Artists, Female Crypto Creators That Crush It, Dystopian Pandemic Art)
2. Recruit creators who fit the theme by reaching out by Telegram, Twitter, Instagram, and Discord
3. Everyone who contributes sets the prices for their NFTs
4. Once the collection is launched, all NFTs are sold at the same price (the average price of everything in the collection)
5. Once the collection sells out, the curator gets a commission and everyone is automatically paid based on the value they contributed to the collection

How to Curate a Collection

Creating a collection on Blind Boxes is effortless. You’ll simply navigate to the “create a collection” section on the Blind Boxes dApp, enter the name of your collection, and follow the onscreen instructions.

You’ll then set the commission, which is the fee that will be automatically sent to the curator once the collection sells out. Next, you’ll set the accepted currency, with the preferred currency being BLES, which waives the platform fee and makes the collection more attractive to collectors in the community.

You can then invite artists to add NFTs to your collection.
