Blind Boxes Monthly Review: May 2021

It’s been an NFT summer, as May saw frenzied activity in the form of new launches, featured drops, key partnerships, and media buzz at Blind Boxes. As we forge deeper ties within the DeFi ecosystem, we continue to add more value to our community. We are now pleased to share a quick recap for May, highlighting the most relevant updates and accomplishments for our team at Blind Boxes.

Launches and Updates:

We announced our $BLES staking and liquidity mining program on BSC as well as liquidity mining on DEX aggregator 1inch Network. Both frameworks facilitate attractive yields for $BLES token holders.

We also provided an update to the NFT triggered $BLES token mining mechanism, which unlocks the ability for collectors to mine $BLES tokens.

Finally, we announced plans to launch on the Ethereum Mainnet in June. This product update will enable Blind Boxes to host both Binance Smart Chain NFTs and Ethereum-based NFTs. Ultimately this will enable a fresh cohort of creators and collectors to launch collections with the Blind Boxes Marketplace.

Partnerships

Our strategic partnership announcement with e-Money is one to follow, as their suite of asset-backed, interest-bearing European stable coins will accelerate the adoption of our platform among our European user base, who would look to purchase Blind Boxes in their native currencies.

A collaboration with Yokai.Money, an NFT platform built on the BSC protocol was also announced which allows Blind Boxes access to their niche community of art collectors and crypto enthusiasts.

Featured Drops

We continued onboarding exciting new talent, while those with a track record of great sales on our platform continued their sensational run, often collaborating with each other and selling out their collections.

HashLips, the NFT project founded by South African NFT artist, Daniel Eugene Botha participated in a solo drop featuring his super rare collection, and also teamed up with renowned artist Barbsie, for a themed ‘Going To The Moon’ series.

Prolific graphic designer and visual artist Shakkablood dropped his ‘Genesis’ collection exclusively on the Blind Boxes Marketplace.

Russian artist Eva Milkaa got together with NFT creator Lumi for an exclusive Blind Boxes collection.

Similarly, mixed media artist catswilleatyou and a stacked cohort of digital creators collaborated on a 3D limited edition NFT collection, as did talented creators Psych Dre and Angieluxd, who partnered to drop multiple collections exclusively on the Blind Boxes Marketplace.

Contests

Contests are an integral feature of our platform and we were thrilled to present a ‘Get Minted Challenge’ around the legendary New Wave band, Wang Chung, where creators were invited to showcase fresh works featuring the band. Winners would then have the opportunity to turn these into NFTs to be sold on the Blind Boxes platform.

BLES Buzz

Our co-founder and CEO, Anita Angelica Moore was interviewed by renowned presenter and crypto influencer, Layah Heilpern for Altcoin Buzz, where she spent a few minutes discussing Blind Boxes and its various attributes.
